Atmospheres - 2015
A string quartet is "played" by several radios. The radio output is sent through transducer speakers attached to the strings of the instruments. Each instrument is miked and the sound is mixed and played out of an amplifier. The radios are tuned to natural atmospheric radio and electrical noise. The radio antenna shapes mimic the specific signal the radios are tuned to.
