This piece was made while I was developing a process that involved the application of an oil and photochemistry emulsion (the salad dressing method) at various ratios and states of separation directly to photographic paper. I later used this process in the series, If I hold my breath maybe I can live forever.
The paper came out of a stack of 48 loose sheets of paper in a large lot of expired paper I bought at an estate sale.
Naming
While each piece is unique, they are named according to the manufacturer, paper grade or type, size and the “expiration” date followed by a number representing the sheet count in the box when I acquired it.
